“Birth is an opportunity to transcend. To rise above what we are accustomed to, reach deeper inside ourselves than we are familiar with, and to see not only what we are truly made of, but the strength we can access in and through birth.” – Marcie Macari

You have worked so hard to grow a strong, healthy baby and it is finally the time to meet them. Our care team fosters a sacred and supportive space for you to birth your baby safely at home in the way that you choose.
Labor and Birth Services Include:
-As your estimated due date approaches, your midwife is on call for you 24/7. If your midwife is unable to be present due to illness or extenuating circumstances, they will ensure that a qualified back up midwife is available to care for you. Every birth is attended by two midwives, usually your midwife and their assistant.
- Hydrotherapy is an excellent coping option during labor and delivery. You will be provided with a birth pool to utilize during your birth free of charge.
- We are certified in CPR, NRP, and trained to manage emergencies in the event they ever arise. Anti-hemorrhaging herbs and medicine are brought to every delivery.
- We provide intermittent monitoring during labor to assess fetal heart tones via a doppler.
- Our birth team cleans up after delivery, including all laundry, trash, and taking down of the birth pool. Your only requirement is to rest in bed with your new baby.
- A full newborn exam is performed prior to your midwife leaving the home.

The first few weeks after your baby arrives is a special time for bonding and healing. We recognize that it is imperative to your well being to have a restful period at home, therefor we provide postpartum care in the comfort of your own space for the first 6 weeks.
Postpartum visits occur at 1 day, 3 day, 7 day, 2 weeks, 4 weeks, and 6 weeks, with an optional 12 week visit at the office. Your midwife can be considered the primary care provider for baby for the first 6 weeks if you choose not to be seen by a pediatrician. If anything appears abnormal or out of the midwife’s scope of care, you will be referred to the appropriate professional.
Postpartum Visits Include:
- Assessment of the parent including vital signs, healing, emotion/mental well-being, breastfeeding experience.
- Assessment of the newborn including vital signs, weight gain, typical newborn behavior, eating/sleeping patterns.
- Assistance with breastfeeding/feeding issues.
- Newborn Metabolic Screen if desired.
- CCHD screening.
- Birth certificate paperwork.
Andi is currently on an extended maternity leave and not accepting new clients at this time. Best wishes to you and yours.
